A Weekly Dose of Rainbows: Watermarble

Greetings and Nailutations,

It's the first of March...ok, well it was yesterday.  The first of every month the A Weekly Does Of Rainbow group on Facebook has a prompt for rainbows.  This month the prompt was watermarble.  I decided to try something I hadn't tried before and I ended up really pleased with the look.

Now let's get to the details!

Products used:
Drip Drop Nail Paint - Yoga Pants
K*Sea Gale's Nails - 7 Grandfather Teachings Collection (press sample)
Dream Polish - Gem Glam Top Coat, Gem Block Liquid Latex (press sample)
What's Up Nails - Watermarble Tool
Clear Jelly Stamper - clean up brush (press sample)

I started with a base of Yoga Pants and topped it with Gem Glam Top Coat.  Once it was dry, I protected my skin with Gem Block Liquid Latex.  I used the holo collection from K*Sea Gale's Nails to watermarble with and the What's Up Nails watermarble tool to create some fun designs in the water.  Everything is topped with Gem Glam Top Coat.

This is one of the first watermarbles I've done where I didn't have bubbles or issues.  I'm so happy!

I hope you enjoyed it!  Have you tried watermarbling?  Tell me about your success (or struggles - as most of mine are).

Happy Watermarbling,
Kristi aka BeginNails

  1. Gorgeous watermarble! I was wondering if you really liked the water marble tool or if you think a toothpick does just as good a job. I've been thinking about picking up the tool but haven't yet...

    1. For me a toothpick did ok, it would stick more often to the polish than the tool does. The tool is also finer so if you have a finicky polish it works better. The Watermarble tool = a needle in a pencil eraser. It also doubles as a great fine tipped dotter or fill in for stamping (if part of the line didn't show up). :)

    1. It took me forever to figure it out & my biggest issue was water. Our water here in Arizona is so hard. I have to use filtered water at room temp.
