Beaty Bigbang: Latex-Free U-Shape Nail Protectors

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press sample*
Today I have Latex-Free U-Shaped Nail Protector Tape from Beauty Bigbang to share.  If you are allergic to latex or wanting to bring something along on a trip that isn't liquid in a bottle or if you are sensitive to scents, keep reading!

Let's get to the review.

The packaging contains 10 U-shaped stickers that you line around your nail to protect your skin during nail art (it makes clean up so much easier).

I decided to use these with stamping over some foil leaf.  They were easy to maneuver around to the correct locations so that all my skin was protected.  I was able to get no polish on my skin with these.

The only trouble I ran into is that once I removed the tape was an adhesive residue stuck around on my fingers and I had difficulty getting it off with a non-actone remover.  Here's a photo of what I was dealing with - my fingers were getting stuck together.

Loves: This is the perfect option for those who are in a rush (can't wait for latex to dry) or allergic to latex or have scent sensitivities.  They were fairly easy to move around to get in the correct locations for protection.

Wishes: I'm not sure if the adhesive was reacting with something else I had on my fingers (acetone?) or if I got a bum batch, but I wish there wasn't a residue left on my fingers after removing.

I have a 10% off coupon for you as well!

Are you more of a liquid latex person or a tape barrier kind of person?

  1. I didn’t even know nail protectors was a thing! And I have a friend who LOVES doing her own nails and is allergic to latex! #Christmasgift

  2. This is a great idea. I don't always get the latex to cover everything.

  4. I have a latex sensitivity due to wearing gloves in the lab for years, so these are a great option for me!

  5. I love the idea of these! Not the left over sticky bit tho! That’s not cool! Plus you say these are latex free?! That’s great because I don’t use Latex for allergic reactions!

  6. I do like that it's latex-free. I don't see them enough for protective barriers.

  7. I've used something like these from BPS. I've never had issue with residue, but mine looked a little different. They are certainly handy!

  8. I've tried something similar to this before but I didn't really see the benefit of using this over just using some scotch tape.

  10. I have a very similar product from another store and I love them! I've never had any problems with adhesive sticking to the skin so I hope you have better luck next time.

  11. I'm excited to give these a try because I cannot tolerate the scent of the latex barrier.
